Upon receipt from customer of 30-50 micrograms of Qiagen-purified DNA for each construct, Genetic Services Inc. will perform the following:

  1. Purify the DNA prior to injections using our in house technique
  2. Injection only-Collect and ship enough larva to obtain at least 1-2 transformant lines/construct.
  3. Transformant service-Collect the injected larvae and rear them to adulthood. Cross the G0 injected adults to w1118 flies and then collect transformants.  Maintain copies of the transformant lines until they are growing well in the customer's lab.

Large constructs (>50kb):  Please note that large constructs transform at a low frequency so extra injections are required to ensure success.  Please contact us to discuss the details of injecting your large construct.

Customer to indicate if markers are of any kind other than w[+].
